Jennifer Scott-Pike, our Infection Control Nurse at Liberty of Lima, was very instrumental in providing the requested data required by ODH for our Infection Control Survey! She was quick to reply that it was a team effort and everyone deserved credit. Jennifer is correct in saying that but most of collecting the information fell on her shoulders! We are proud to report that we had no citations at our facility! Thank you to all who contributed to this achievement!

We thought it would be a good idea to promote patriotism in our facility. So with Flag Day approaching us this weekend, residents participated in a coloring contest to commemorate it. These two ladies were very proud of their red, white and blue creations and were eager to share their accomplishments. They were awarded with a patriotic plastic cup filled with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Good job ladies!

We have the privilege of a very experienced gardener and landscaper residing in our Villa Assisted Living. He has offered his skills and expertise in transplanting the many variety of flowers that he is familiar with. We certainly appreciate all his hard work and look forward to seeing the fruits of his labor flourish as summer approaches!

This special resident turned 98 on Saturday! We couldn't let that day go unnoticed so with the help of these awesome nurse aides, Mary was celebrating with her family following covid restrictions. It was a marvelous day and one that Mary will hold dear and near in her heart! Thank you Renee and Tiffany for all you do at Liberty to keep our residents content and well taken care of!

The Therapy Department have a staff that is well worth mentioning! The residents speak very highly of all the young ladies and gentlemen in this department! They not only provide the physical, occupational and speech therapy needed but they provide quality socialization with each resident. Thanks to Kendra and her crew for all that they do to help our residents improve their quality of life! Hats off to everyone and a big welcome to Natasha who is the newly employed Speech Therapist!

We would like to offer a warm welcome to Nife who has joined the Activity Staff at Liberty! She is young but has already proven to be very responsible and dependable! The residents comment frequently, "Your little helper is doing a real good job". So glad that you chose Liberty for your place of employment! We know that you will be blessed as you serve our residents with your friendly and caring demeanor!

For this family member, video calls are extremely important and very worthwhile for both mother and daughter! Video chatting is the next best solution for these two individuals who were accustomed to seeing other in person quite frequently! Hoping and praying that it won't be long before the two of them can be reunited again but until then...enjoy those precious and priceless moments!

The housekeeping/laundry department at Liberty are doing a fabulous job keeping our facility looking great and staying sanitized. Thank you Julie Rettig for your expert leadership and your dedicated staff for providing a safe and clean environment for our residents. All of you are well deserving to officially be called, "Our Super Heroes at Liberty"!

This couple is so very precious and still so very much in love! Dean speaks so many affectionate and affirming terms of endearment to his dear wife and she responds with heartwarming words that convey their love for each other. These window visits will stand the test of time until they can once again be in each other's embrace!

Making the best of Cinco de Mayo Day would have to include Walking Tacos! Some of the residents had never tried one before but are glad they did this time! Not exactly the type of party we would normally have planned but it'll do for now. There will come a day when will socialize like there's no tomorrow!
