Help us welcome our new Administrator West Powell III. West comes to us from the Columbus market. He has been in healthcare since 2013 and has over 25 years of management experience. He like movies, playing with his 2 dogs and fixing computers and cell phones.
Liberty Retirement Community of Lima is now providing in-house dialysis treatment so that our residents can get their treatments 5 days per week. No traveling to another location and taking the entire day. And no risk of outside exposure to the pandemic.
What fun we had tie dyeing eggs for Easter! In order to create these beautiful eggs, we cut up the ties and wrapped the eggs in one tie, along with another wrapping of a cotton fabric and finished it off by securing the egg with twisty ties. Finally, we boiled the eggs for twenty minutes. These are the remarkable designs that came from this project! While the eggs were cooking, we did quite a few brain games. This day was one that was enjoyed by all present!
A shout out to Tom Yaney-Frazier who is the new Social Services Director at Liberty! He is a very experienced and seasoned professional and we welcome you Tom! We also wanted to recognize you during National Social Services Month! Thank you for joining our team! You already are doing a super job!
Currently all residents and staff who have requested the vaccine have received both the first and second dose of the COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine. Liberty is now an official licensed vaccine provider. We will be administering the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to new residents and staff.
Just who is our entertainment this day? Was it Alan Seibert, The Music Man" or was it Geraldine? This girl was having so much fun that she just couldn't sit still any longer. Residents enjoyed watching her as much as they enjoyed listening to our window performer! Lots of fun for all! Everyone is so thankful to open up our community for some long awaited programming!
Here are a few of the residents working hard on their March Madness Brackets! Women against the men for the most wins! We will inform you of the 1st and 2nd place winners! Let there be no mistake about it though...some of these women have done this before and are just as competitive as the men! Could be interesting to see how this all turns out!
These crafty ladies were being quite creative with their St. Paddy's Day Projects! They were a little unsure of themselves but all it took was to get them started and they were off to the races. The finished product was something to be admired and proud of!
Since restaurants have been opening up to go inside, one resident suggested we have a "Carry-In." Eager to oblige the lady in the bottom of the collage and upon her request, we ordered from Happy Daz. It is so good to get back to a little more normalcy, even if it is a little at a time. Thanks Mary, the residents were thrilled about your suggestion! We don't know where we will order from next month but you can be sure we will be placing an order at one of their favorite food places.
