Bowling Fun

One of our fun-time activities is bowling! It's always great for a group and a little healthy competition doesn't hurt. Regardless of the weather, we enjoy the benefits of physical activity, and plenty of laughs and smiles. How many other sports can you think of where you get to eat and drink while playing?

Shop and Lunch

While the Fall weather is nice, we're trying to get out to breathe the fresh air and absorb the sunshine! This month residents chose to combine some shopping with a lunch outing. We enjoyed browsing at the Dollar Store and finished the day up with a delicious lunch at Burger King. Fries, juicy grilled burgers and milkshakes really hit the spot!

One on One Time

Participation in social and leisure activities plays an enormous role in resident quality of life and well-being. We encourage residents to engage in self-directed activities and hobbies, along with our diverse organized activities. But what makes our community feel like a family, are the meaningful relationships that develop between staff and residents. Who doesn't enjoy a friendly checkers challenge from time to time?

Having fun at the Reds game!

We had so much fun going to the last Reds game before fall sets in. We all sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". We all talked about how much fun we had. Some of us are real baseball lovers. We all can't wait until next season, at Opening Day. With so much excitement and enjoying the fresh air it was a great day. That what's it's all about.

It's Karaoke Time!

We had fun when we sang Karaoke the other day, especially Don (shown in picture). The residents all have their favorite things to do and there are those who are a little hard to get to come out of their room. At Colerain, we try to do the unthinkable, so somebody said "Let's Sing" and off we go. We sang some oldies and goodies. Our favorite were songs by Elvis and Sammy Davis Jr.

Time for Friendship, Great Wine & Cheese, along With Entertainment

Friendship goes a long way here at Liberty. As an example, we encouraged one another to come join the wine, cheese and music party. We listened to one of our favorite entertainers, Ray Heckman while enjoying some wine & cheese. We listened to some love songs, some Frank Sinatra and more. We all smiled and clapped to the music!

Liberty Spotlight on Leesa Wittenstorm

Meet Leesa Wittenstorm, Colerain's cheerful receptionist. She's the first person you see as you walk through our front door and always is ready with a friendly greeting and warm smile. You'll experience her sunny disposition whether you're visiting in person or calling on the phone. But Leesa is much more than a greeter for Liberty. She keeps us in order by also jugging

Senior Ball 2018

Each year, the Progressive Seniors Club hosts the Lucille Chenault Senior Ball. Cincinnati's version of the event was held at the Duke Energy Center. Lucille launched the first ball back in 1974 after an illness confined her to a nursing home and she personally experienced the challenges many seniors face. Her dream was to create an event where one day out of the year seniors could look forward to getting dressed up, socializing and interacting with each other. Our

Senior Prom

Our facility eagerly participated in the local version of Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly's annual Senior Prom. They are a national network of non-profit organizations that are committed to relieving loneliness and isolation among the elderly. This year's prom was in May at the Cincinnati Sports Club. Days before the event our community was in a flurry, buzzing with excitement as everyone prepared. Family members brought in formal wear and staff enjoyed helping residents get spruced up for the big evening. It was a wonderful night with a rock and roll theme, photo booth, door prices and great food. Many residents commented that they didn't want to leave, so next year's prom is being enthusiastically anticipated by all!

Our 4th of July Celebration

No 4th of July celebration would be complete without a proper cookout. So Liberty's dietician managed the grill cooking fabulous, mouth-watering hamburgers for staff, residents and our guests. Baked beans and coleslaw along with red, white and blue popsicles were some of the party favorites. It was a wonderful community event featuring fun games and great picnic food.
