August was the month for recognizing the work and dedication of our first responders. Liberty Nursing Center of Colerain got on board by hosting a very special meal to show our appreciation. Our admissions director and administrator as well as our dietary group, did a fabulous job hosting this event. The community turn out and support was wonderful and everyone enjoyed delicious beef brisket, coleslaw, rolls and of course some great desserts. Thank you again first responders...your hard work doesn't go unnoticed.

Cold, sweet and simple... sipping these tasty summer pastimes are a favorite for everyone– especially our Liberty residents. Another afternoon highlight was entertainment by Frank Anthony. His regular visits continue to put everyone in high spirits as they enjoy listening to oldies and singing along.
We love summer, and kicked it off in special Liberty style with a lively Summer Fiesta. It was received so well by residents and guests, that we’ve decided to make it a permanent annual event. Who doesn’t go crazy over munching on chips with mouthwatering salsa and wonderful cheeses? Everyone danced, clapped and tapped to the music of Rich Monroe who’s Elvis routine brought the house down. Stay tuned for next year!
Research has suggested that the presence of animals can provide many health benefits to people of every age. They promote increased happiness, calmness and overall emotional well-being, and this is especially true for the elderly. Our residents were recently treated to a visit from Bonnie’s Angels, a husband and wife team, who enjoy sharing their miniature horses with the public. Tequila Sunshine (the male) and Impressible (the female) also appreciated the visit as they eagerly soaked up attention and love from our residents. Everyone enjoyed seeing and petting them. Lots of questions were asked, and we’re all looking forward to a repeat visit in the fall.
When we all can't go out to eat together, the next best thing is to bring the restaurant food to us! Options range from Cheddars, Olive Garden, Frisch's, and Ritchie's. We have a great time sampling and discussing what our favorite foods are.
Our residents look forward to our amazing happy hour held once a month. Everyone enjoys the wine and cheese tasting parred with fruit along with a variety of entertainment. The jazz music is always a favorite!
We love St. Patrick's Day and have lots of fun with the all green decorations and attire. We even color coordinate the food! Our residents and staff enjoy participating in all of the merriment together. Singing and dancing are a definite bonus.
Our Penny Auction is the highlight of the month and we are grateful for assistance from all of the seasoned volunteers who organize and run it. Liberty asks staff and family members to bring in gently used or new items that residents can bid on for pennies or a low dollar amount. The auction is exciting and fun, but most importantly it provides the residents with an opportunity to shop and decorate their rooms without having to leave the comfort of our community. Let the bidding begin!
We had a wonderful turnout of friends and family for the annual Resident Christmas Party! Loads of good food, fun, and companionship while we rocked to the Christmas music provided by our entertainer!
Every facility has the usual dog and cat visits, but here at our Colerain location we take animal visits to another level. We receive exotic animal visits! On this particular day Hamilton County Parks was kind enough to bring in several animals, but what especially stood out were the owl, a bunny, and an eagle! Very enjoyable and educational visit—what a terrific day!
