It’s a wonderful day when you can look back on the week and simply smile at all the joy it brought. We’d love to share a glimpse into our week here on the Memory Care Unit at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield.
August is Sunflower Month, so we embraced the theme with some beautiful sunflower artwork. It’s always fun to see who likes to stay within the lines—and who thinks anything goes! The same goes for their bold and creative color choices.
We were blessed with plenty of sunny days, perfect for getting outside to enjoy the fresh air and check on the garden. One of our ladies spotted the evergreen bushes and immediately started thinking about Christmas trees already!
This week also included some pampering, as we enjoyed getting our nails done. Of course, no week is complete without spending time caring for the babies and our pets. And if you saw us gazing out the window, chances are we were watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders. They sure do entertain us!
We like to stay as active as possible, but we also took time to relax. A few episodes of The Golden Girls brought laughter, music aided some quiet moments of reflection and reminiscing, and soothing moments with lavender scented lotion helped us unwind.
These moments with our residents are truly special—and we cherish them more than words can say.
