Every day spent with our residents is special, but this August we had a little extra fun by celebrating some of the month’s “official” special days! Of course, we couldn’t pass up National Soft Serve Ice Cream Day. Residents enjoyed an ice cream social with several flavor options. By the end of the party, the strawberry soft serve container was nearly empty, making it the clear crowd favorite!

It’s a wonderful day when you can look back on the week and simply smile at all the joy it brought. We’d love to share a glimpse into our week here on the Memory Care Unit at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield. August is Sunflower Month, so we embraced the theme with some beautiful sunflower artwork. It’s always fun to see who likes to stay within the lines—and who thinks anything goes! The same goes for their bold and creative color choices.
