We would like to "Thank" the Community Band members that came to our facility last night, August 25, and performed for our residents. The resident really enjoy the music. We even had a few "movers & shakers" in the crowd. It was a good time for everyone. We are glad they came in to perform and look forward to having them back next year.

Monday August 4th, a large group of residents, family members, and staff attended the Richland County Fairgrounds for the Ageless Beauty Contest. This years Liberty King was Norman Maines and Queen was Lillie Mae Davis.
Last Saturday, August 26, we had our "Craft & Car" here at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield. There were venders, crafters, and cars to share. We were lucky enough that the weather held out for us and it turned out to be a nice day. Trophies were awarded to drivers for different things, like residents choice or best paint.
Today Judy and her husband performed for our residents. Her husband plays the keyboard while the two of them sing to the residents. Judy's husband used to play the keyboard for the Cleveland Indians. This couple visits different nursing facilities providing fun entertainment for all.
Liberty Nursing Center is having a summer craft show July 28th from 9am–5pm here at our building in Mansfield. We will have crafters, venders, and a car show. Come out and join us. See what we got. You might find something you like. We also have spots available for more people to set up if anyone is interested. Just call the facility and ask for the activities director. Hope to see you there!!
Residents had fun on our trip to Cooper's Mill in Bucyrus, OH. The mill makes a variety of jams and apple butter.
Families had a great time visiting with Mom throughout the day and a highlight was our Pie Social.
On Saturday, April 12th 2014, we celebrated Easter. It turned out to be a beautiful day for it. We got the Easter bunny to show up early just for the kids. Children, residents, and even staff members were able to get their photos taken with the Easter bunny as he bounced his way around the facility. He even hid Easter eggs in three different spots for the children to search. He was really busy here. Some of the residents went out to watch while others done some searching.
On April 1st, AKA April Fool's Day, we played a little joke on some of our more entertaining residents. First we made up some Jell-O and put it in clear cups with a straw so it looked like drinks. We passed these "drinks" out and watched as the resident tried to drink the "Juice" we had given them.
Last week we celebrated February birthday's with the thought of warmer weather. We decorated the dining room with lots of Hawaiian décor and music.
