Tuesday was a busy day here at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield. We started the day with cardio drumming. The residents worked hard to stay on beat and managed to keep their smiles while working up a sweat! After some gentle stretching, we put away our drumsticks and grabbed our gardening gear as several residents enjoyed planting flowers for Earth Day. Each resident planted a flower or two to keep in their rooms. We had enough flowers left over to plant in a window box. Fortunately, we have a couple gentlemen who are very knowledgeable about anything relating to gardening who advised and helped us with this project. We sure were thankful for the help! Later that day, Tamara and YAHanna came to visit. They visited some residents in their rooms and then stopped in to see our ladder ball group in action and say hello. They’re joyfulness is contagious and they were a perfect way to end a wonderful, fun filled day! We are thankful for these special moments creating lasting memories.
