We’re excited to introduce our Employee of the Month, Treshaun Smith. Treshaun is one of the most well-loved people in our building—by residents and coworkers alike. You can learn a lot about him from the poster we shared, but I was lucky enough to catch him (he’s a fast walker!) and ask a few more questions.
Treshaun has been part of the Liberty family for about five years. His path into caregiving was inspired both by his mother, who previously worked here, and by the career-tech classes he took in school that encouraged him to pursue a career as an STNA. Despite how hard he works while he’s here, Treshaun still somehow finds the time and energy to pursue a nursing degree as well—a true testament to his dedication.
While we love sharing fun facts about Treshaun, you really have to spend time with him to understand the kind of person he is. He greets everyone with a smile, his laughter rings throughout the halls, and he’s endlessly generous with kind words for our residents and staff. Most importantly, he consistently goes above and beyond to meet the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the people he cares for.
It’s not unusual to see Treshaun stopping in on his days off, bringing treats for the residents. One resident even calls him his best friend. His presence makes Liberty a brighter place, and we are incredibly grateful to have him as part of our team.
