Hello Everyone! Most of you know who I am but I wanted to give a little introduction. I have been the Activity Director here at Liberty for a little over a year and recently I have stepped into this new position. I am so excited but at the same time sad because I am going to miss spending one on one time with the residents. I have a two year old daughter and her name is Reagan. I spend most of the time with her and we have been running 5K every Saturday. Please stop in and say hello!

Our monthly canvas was finished and they turned out beautiful. The residents enjoy creating these canvas'.

Our Residents are making a special canvas this month. First, we worked on painting a beautiful beach canvas. Next, we will add a saying. Can't wait to reveal the finished project.

Our residents enjoyed a Cherry Blossom Latte. Each month, we try a new favor latte. Our residents loved this one! Now to figure out next month's secret flavor.

Today, we celebrated with warm cookies! The residents and staff really liked these.

For National Nursing Home week, the first day we made mocktails; Pineapple Cobbler and Blueberry Mojito. The residents really enjoyed these yummy drinks.

Liberty Retirement Community of Lima welcomes Preshes Mathews as our Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She comes with enthusiasm, optimism, and a passion to serve residents, families, staff, and partners. Receiving her graduate degree in Rehabilitation Counseling & Administration, and bachelor’s in Health & Human Services Management, she is a two-time graduate of Wilberforce University. For fun, Preshes enjoys family activities, crime TV, do-it-yourself projects, and meditation. She’s excited to join the team!

Our special art project is completed. After glueing the multi-colored egg carton pieces onto the blue canvas, it turned into a beautiful canvas of flowers. Everyone did such wonderful job!
