For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her, we’d love to introduce a very special lady—Judy! She has been part of our Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield family for the past couple of years. Judy is present at every activity—we can always count on her to show up ready to have a good time and lens a hand to her fellow residents. Her talents are many, from being a cornhole enthusiast to helping keep our bulletin boards neat and welcoming.
We honored the incredible men in our care—sons, fathers, brothers, uncles, and grandsons—for all they are and all they’ve done. It was a day filled with good food, great company, and well-deserved appreciation. Our gentlemen enjoyed a delicious spread of hot dogs and burgers hot off the grill, baked beans, chips, fresh watermelon, and ice cream cake for dessert. A heartfelt thank you to Gary for generously handling the grilling and to Lisa Mullins for her kind donation, which helped make this event extra special. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the remarkable men of Liberty.
One of our very special residents was able to go home this week after being with us for over two years. When CC first came to Liberty Nursing Center, she needed assistance with all her activities of daily living. She required help with bathing, feeding, transferring from bed to chair and back, making and receiving calls, and many other daily tasks. Thanks to the dedication of our staff, the incredible support from our therapy department, and—most importantly—CC’s own grit and determination, she overcame obstacle after obstacle on her journey toward independence. That hard work paid off, and she is now able to return home to live with a loved one.
