Our residents on the memory care unit had a fun-filled Friday. We spent some time taking care of the babies. The ladies showered the dolls with love and chose cute outfits for them to wear. Our administrator, Angel, stopped in to say hi to everyone and spread some cheer. She and Bonnie made quite a duo with their color coordinated outfits! We all thought they looked pretty spiffy! One of our favorite things to do on the memory care unit is play balloon volley, it’s always a good day when we have time to squeeze in a game! We managed to do so before lunch today and we all had a good time. Shayla from OT came in and walked a couple ladies to the dining room and took the time to sit and chat with some of the ladies. They appreciated her socializing with them before their meals arrived. It’s always good to end the week on a high note and I think we did just that!
Crossroads Church came to visit us last week. They sang several songs and did an Easter devotional for the residents. The residents enjoyed singing along and hearing the Easter message. Crossroads also brought Easter gift bags for each resident. These bags were assembled by second graders at Mifflin Elementary School. They contained a card made by a student as well as plants, socks, lip balm, candy and many other wonderful gifts. Crossroads also gifted the residents lap blankets and shawls. The members of Crossroads Church visited with each resident after the service. Everyone enjoyed their time together and we are so appreciative of the time and energy that Crossroads Church and Mifflin Elementary put into making this a special day for the residents of Liberty Nursing Center.
